Hi! I’m Priyanka. I’m a writer, editor, and strategist—and most recently, a podcast host!

For the past three years I’ve co-hosted Crooked Media’s daily news podcast What A Day, covering breaking news, interviewing experts, and accompanying thousands of people on their morning commutes. The podcast was born from the What A Day nightly newsletter I started at Crooked Media back in 2018.

Prior to the podcast, I served as Crooked’s Brand Marketing Manager, where—in true startup fashion—I wore several hats. On the brand side, I wrote and edited copy for everything from e-commerce to our website, and created Crooked’s first-ever Brand Bible, outlining the brand guidelines, positioning, identity, and voice of Crooked and its individual podcasts. On the marketing side, I served as the marketing lead for Crooked’s voting and engagement initiative Vote Save America, spearheading partnerships with 50+ publishers, brands, celebrities, and creators, and leading a cross-functional team to execute on key campaigns. We mobilized 300,000+ volunteers, registered 180,000 voters, and raised $46 million ahead of the 2020 elections, and I remain so proud and so grateful to have contributed to that effort.

Before my time at Crooked, I worked in magazines, first at TIME and then at Real Simple. As an associate social media editor at Real Simple, I managed the brand’s social content calendars and wrote daily web content based on SEO and social trends. At TIME, I packaged breaking news for the brand’s social audience of 50M+ during the 2016 election, debates, Olympics, and more.

When I’m not recording podcasts, you can find me writing my newsletter—Shit I Bought and Liked. It’s a bestseller on Substack and has been featured in New York Magazine, Marie Claire, and The Hustle. My work has also appeared in New York Magazine, TIME, Crooked.com, and more.
